know your bits!
Oh ffs. A tom thumb is not a snaffle. The proper definition of a SNAFFLE BIT is a NON-LEVERAGE bit. Therefore a tom thumb is not a snaffle.
Now, there are bits that can be used as both a snaffle bit AND a leverage bit (i.e. a pelham) but it is impossible to use a tom thumb without leverage being applied THEREFORE IT IS NOT A SNAFFLE.actually snaffle can also refer to the break in the bit. the tom thumb shown here has a single break, thus making it a snaffle.

DiCaprio and Mulligan, meanwhile, don’t seem like star-crossed lovers so much as a delusional man in love with a bauble of a woman. Maybe that’s intentional?

That first day we were trying to get Dan’s eyes to be green because that’s what they are in the book.
And Dan was wearing contact lenses.
He was allergic to them and after we made the decision to remove them, but the first day we tried to work through it.
So for the last scene when he’s saying good-bye to Hagrid you can see almost his eyes tearing and his eye a little bit swollen and it feels like he’s about to cry.
He probably was but he never complained.
We removed the contacts and he’s never had green eyes since.-David Heyman
